How do I begin?
You can book a free 20-minute phone or video consultation to see if we’re a good fit. From there, you’re welcome to schedule your first session through our secure online booking system.What if I’ve never done therapy before?
That’s completely okay. Many people feel unsure at first. We move at your pace and create a space where you can feel supported and informed.What happens in the first session?
Our first session is about getting to know you — what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and how we can work together. We’ll also review confidentiality, clinic policies, and answer any questions you may have. -
How long are sessions?
Individual sessions are available in 30-, 60-, 90 or 120-minute formats. Couples and EMDR sessions are offered in 60- or 90-minute formats.How often will we meet?
This depends on your goals and availability. Many clients begin weekly or biweekly, then adjust as needed.What types of therapy do you offer?
Our work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including EFT, CBT, EMDR, DBT, SFBT, and the Gottman Method, tailored to your needs. -
How much does therapy cost?

We do not offer direct billing, but many clients are reimbursed through extended health benefits. You’ll receive a detailed receipt after each session.Do you charge HST or GST?
No. Psychotherapy services are tax-exempt in Ontario.Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Are sessions online or in person?
Currently, all sessions are offered virtually across Ontario.Is online therapy secure?
Yes. Sessions are held through Jane’s secure, PHIPA-compliant video platform.Can EMDR be done online?
Yes, EMDR therapy can be effectively provided virtually. -
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments are billed at the full session fee.How do I pay?
We accept credit card or e-transfer. Payment details are outlined at booking. -
What if I’m in crisis?
If you are in immediate crisis, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 to reach Canada’s Suicide Crisis Helpline, available 24/7.How can I reach you between sessions?
